Bio
Hello and thank you for visiting my website. A little bit about me, I was born in Okinawa, Japan in Koza City. I moved with my family to the United States in 1972. My father was in the military so I grew up a military brat. I now live in Nevada. I am married and have two great kids. I have explored art throughout my childhood. I enjoyed sketching but it was not until my adulthood that oil painting became a passion. I love the vivid colors of landscapes and seascapes and prefer oil as my medium.
Being an artist is not a career but something I really enjoy doing. Painting helps me to look at all the fine details in every aspect of things we take for granted that we see everyday; for example, every puff in a cloud, ripples in the water and how the light may hit a tree. I continue to learn and master my skills by studying with a local artist and going to workshops. I have a love for all things beautiful in nature and sea. If I can capture the essence on canvas I have done what I dream of doing.
